Special Meeting

Any person present who wishes to address the board or raise any question about public school district matters or governing policies may do so under public participation. No discussion of personnel or individual students is permitted at this time. A limit of three minutes is placed on each speaker. Persons who want more time may make arrangements to be placed on a future agenda. The public is also reminded that they may provide input on all motions being considered by the board at this meeting.

Meeting Minutes

Call to order

Chair Tim Sather opened the Building Committee Work Session meeting at 12:05 p.m. and began with leading those present in the Pledge Allegiance.

The following trustees/committee members and officers were present: Trustees Tim Sather, Scott Kiekover, Superintendent Tobin Novasio and District Clerk Laurie Noonkester.

Trustee/Committee Member Pamela Ask was absent. Collaborative Design Architect Nick Pancheau and Evelyn Pyburn with the Yellowstone County News were also in attendance.

The Building Committee/Trustees met in a work session to review the information gathered from the High School Community Meeting held on January 11, 2018.

Items reported upon where:

  1. Feedback from Community Meeting - Notes from the meeting were reviewed. All notes from these meetings are posted upon the Lockwood High School Page located on the Lockwood School webpage.

  2. Site Selection Discussion- Notes from the community meeting and community member input narrowed the site selection down to two sites, existing school property (site A) and property located at the intersection of Johnson Lane and Ford Road (Site B). Pros and cons of each property were discussed.

  3. Vision Sessions Discussion – Permanent Health Clinic in the community.

  4. Next Steps – Include a cost study for property H, display for suggested exterior imagery meeting will be scheduled, CTE needs will be discussed.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:17 p.m.
