NEXT REGULAR MEETING IS FEBUARY 13th, 2018 AT 6:00 PM
Call to order
Chair Tim Sather opened the Building Committee Work Session meeting at 12:00 p.m. and
began with leading those present in the Pledge of Allegiance.
The following trustees/committee members and officers were present: Trustees Tim Sather, Scott
Kiekover, Pamela Ask, Superintendent Tobin Novasio and Assistant Business Manager DeeAnn
Nielsen. Collaborative Design Architects Nick Pancheau, Mark Qualman with Quest Cost
Estimating and Evelyn Pyburn with the Yellowstone County News, Middle School students
Paisley Swartz and Layla Painter along with Mrs. Gopp were also in attendance. District Clerk
Laurie Noonkester was absent.
The Building Committee/Trustees met in a work session to review the information presented
from Collaborative Design.
Items reported upon where:
Feedback from Community Meeting – Discussion was held regarding the full breakdown of
cost of the 49 million budget (with future costs).
Cost Discussion – Middle School students presented New Parking Lot Project to attendees
about intermediate parking issue. Various building items and estimate costs discussed. Tobin
presented budget to group with projected 49.9 with breakdown of mills that would affect
households in our community. After discussion Pamela Ask moved to present 49.9 to board,
discussion was made Trustee Scott Kiekover seconded, motion going forward.
Next Steps-Special Board Meeting to present bond amount for the May 8th School/Bond will
be held on February 26, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Lockwood School Board Room.
The Next Community Meeting will be held on February 28th at 6:00 p.m in the
Administration Board Room.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:00 p.m.
