Superintendent's Agenda Report - Action Items

5. Items for Action

  1. Consent Agenda
    1. Approve Minutes of December 13th Meeting and December 27th Special Meeting
    2. Approve Bills and Wages for December 2018
    3. Hire Substitutes

All of the items 1-3 can be approved with one motion and vote. Any trustee can pull an item from the consent agenda at any meeting if they want to discuss that item further. I recommend that we approve the consent agenda.

  2. Approve Assistant Principal Assignment
I recommend that Robert DiGiallonardo be reassigned to the position of Assistant Principal in the Middle School. His current contract would be revised to comply with the adopted matrix for Principals and Insurance benefit. This change would be effective January 14th.

  3. Hire Certified Staff
I recommend that we offer a teaching contract to Megan Dempsey for the remainder of the 2018- 19 school year pending her Certification. Megan will replace Mr. DiGiallonardo in the Fifth Grade. She recently finished up her student teaching including working with Fifth Grade Students and Staff. We will bring her in as a substitute to work with Mr. D to prepare for the transition and until her certification is issued and filed with the County.

  4. Superintendent Contract
Traditionally the Board will take action to add an additional year to my contract provided my evaluation is acceptable. The additional year would be the 2021/2022 school year. We usually work out contract details at the end of the fiscal year, but I know Chairman Sather has expressed interest in having that done earlier this year and trustees formed a committee to look at compensation for all our positions as we transition to a K-12 district.
