Superintendent's Agenda Report - Action Items

5. Items for Action

  1. Consent Agenda
    1. Approve Minutes of January 8th Meeting and January 23rd Work Session
    2. Approve Bills and Wages for January 2019
    3. Hire Coaches
    4. Approve Out of District Students

All of the items 1-4 can be approved with one motion and vote. Any trustee can pull an item from the consent agenda at any meeting if they want to discuss that item further. I recommend that we approve the consent agenda.

  2. Approve Opening Lockwood High School Fall 2019
I recommend that the Board move forward with opening Lockwood High School this upcoming school year, 2019-20; enrolling only 9th graders the first year. I also recommend Lockwood Schools pay tuition for 9th graders who meet the requirements defined in the attached Tuition Guidelines document for the 2019-20 school year.

  3. Approve 2019-20 Calendar
I recommend that the Board approve the attached calendar for the 2019-20 school year.

  4. Approve Adjustments to Bus Routes
I recommend the Board approve the attached changes to Bus Route 7 effective January 29th and Route 12 effective January 2nd.

  5. Approve Counseling Support
I recommend the Board approve Julie Clark and Michelle Davis to provide counseling service to our students. We continue to have several students with counseling needs and not enough resources to provide the support we would like. These providers will sign the same contracts we have with current providers. This gives our needy students some extra supports.

  6. Void Check
I recommend that the Board void check number 2159 from our Lunch Account. This check was issued November 3, 2017 for $10.10. We have made contact with the payee of the check as well as leaving numerous messages to no avail.

  7. Call for Election – Trustees
I recommend the Board approve the first resolution calling for the trustee election. We have two three-year term positions up for election. I also recommend that the trustees approve the second resolution to have Yellowstone County conduct said election.
